It was the the morning of the " HARMONIC CONVERGENCE;', a small group of people weregathered near the head of serpent Mound in Ohio. As the sun was rising they began to build thefirst of four medicine wheels. The stones from the first medicine bundle were placed in coloredcloths and placed in the four directions. The other three medicine bundles were given to theindividuals that would take responsibility for the next three medicine wheels.

On Cortez Island in British Columbia, the second bundle was placed in the four directions on a medicine wheel that was built there. The third bundle was taken to Chaco Canyon but the forest service would not allow a medicine wheel to be built. I was told that since then, this bundle was given to four other people, none of whom were able to complete the task. I was also told that Sun bear had the forth bundle and was going to Mexico to build the southern medicine wheel.

I am Walter Soaring Eagle and in March of 1989, I had just finished two years of studies with Little Summer, Chief of the Hawk Clan with the Shawnee Nation. He instructed me to go west to find the home lands to the "Tribe of the Phoenix", a responsibility I received just before the Harmonic Convergence. Having friends in New Mexico I arrived there on March 21st., and stayed for a time. I went to see my friend Oz and told her of a vision I had of a medicine wheel that I could see from outer Space. She stood up and left the for a few moments and resumed with this medicine bundle and said this belongs to you.

Now it seems that not only do I have the responsibility to find and establish the home land for the Tribe of the Phoenix, now I must build one of four medicine wheels on Turtle Island. I thought to myself! that they must be somehow linked together The purpose of these four medicine wheels was to bring together the races of human kind into the family of MAN kind. The purpose for the Tribe of the Phoenix is to evolve into the race of MAN kind.

Following my visions, I found my way to Sedona, Arizona. After several years of research I realized that Sedona is the homeland of the Tribe of the Phoenix and where I was to build the Western Medicine Wheel. This medicine wheel is seven miles in diameter and surrounds all of Sedona. The center of the wheel is also the heart chakra of Sedona and Sedona is the heart chakra of turtle Island. This medicine wheel was invoked to activate and awaken the DNA of anyone who would pass through it. In that Sedona attracts visitors from around the world, those who leave here might awaken and one day help another to awaken.

I take full responsibility for these actions. By the laws of cause and effect may only those who choose at a soul level to enter this medicine wheel, do so, as your life will never be the same.
